Welcome
to the Phelps Community Rec Centre!
At the Rec Centre we are committed to serving
the residents of Phelps by providing services,
events, community information and more. We are
proud to offer this to residents of all ages,
new and existing in our community. Our main priority
at the Rec has always been to build a strong sense
of community, safety and to be a place where our
residents can grow together.
The Rec Centre is run and maintained by a volunteer
board of directors. The board of directors are
members from the community who are elected to
the board at our local service board (LSB) election
meeting. The election meeting is held each year,
usually in September and is a public meeting any
resident is welcome to attend.
The Rec Centre is governed and also receives a
budget from the LSB.
A yearly public budget meeting
is held (usually in October) each year.
